NYC Shibari is a premier team of professional shibari artists featured in productions in the city and around the world. Our artists have a collective fifteen years of classical training, and have studied in Japan and around the globe with kinbaku masters and certified instructors. Since establishing in 2018, NYC Shibari has made a splash with their high altitude rigging expertise, extreme athleticism, and artistic ingenuity, sweeping up awards in rope photography, modeling, and rigging in 2020’s tenth anniversary Jade Rope photo competion, drawing sponsorships including NYC’s Thistle & Spire lingerie, and publishing work internationally.
